The abandoned spider hospital was built in 1955. It began as a small rural hospital, but expanded several times through the years to meet the rising demand for medical services, as it was the only hospital with an emergency room in the entire county. I’m the late 2000’s the hospital first had signs of trouble when many employees were not receiving their paychecks and their insurance premiums were going unpaid as well. This eventually led to an investigation into the hospitals finances and even the CEO.
