Exploring Abandoned Jail Where My Friend Served Time

In this video, we're exploring an abandoned jail where my friend served time for almost 2 years. This is one of those locations that not many people have explored since it closed. They keep it locked up good and the police are constantly watching the building. Once we got inside, a police officer showed up and shinned his spotlight all over the property. Before I even took my camera out, I was ready to leave. We stayed for a good hour waiting for the sun to rise so we could grab a couple photos. Less than 20 minutes later, we were out of there. Even though theres a good part of this jail that i didn't get to see, I don't have any plans ever to go back here.

Forgotten Abandoned 1970's Time Capsule Home

In today's video, we checked out this awesome little abandoned time capsule home built sometime around the 1970's. This abandoned house had everything left behind from when the family still lived there. The retro furniture made for some really unique photos. There was a bunch of little cool knickknacks left in the house which I show throughout this video. Part of the house was collapsed so we couldn't make it upstairs to checkout the other rooms. Exploring the Abandoned Western State Penitentiary in Pittsburgh

In today's video, we got permission to explore the huge abandoned Western State Penitentiary Prison in Pittsburgh. This prison was built in 1826 and housed up to 1500 inmates at one time including some Civil War Prisoners. Inmate abuse was a huge issue for a very long time at Western State. In the 1980's there was a riot that resulted in the police setting part of the facility on fire to try and control the inmates. This massive prison with a dark history now sits completely abandoned with so many untold stories.

Abandoned Historic Bank From the 1920's

In this video we explored this historic abandoned bank that was built in the 1920's. The lobby of this bank was beautiful! It had all the original architecture with these huge archways that have been decaying for a while. It looks like they started renovated this bank about a year ago then most likely stopped because of the covid virus. For awhile, the vault was completely flood with a good 12 feet of water but today it only had about 2 feet. It took us sometime walking all over this abandoned bank to find trash bags to use as waders. After I found 2 bags and some tape it was time to shoot the vault. Within a few minutes, both of my feet were soaked but I was happy with the couple photos I was able to shoot of the vault. If you enjoyed this video make sure to leave us a comment and subscribe! Abandoned Jail Connected to Active Police Station

Exploring this abandoned jail was pretty sketchy tbh. It’s connected to an active police station inside a huge law enforcement complex. When we arrived several police officers were right outside. After waiting a good 30 minutes we decided to leave and come back a few hours later. Once we got back, the same thing happened and a police officer was outside. It was either we go for it now or miss out on the spot and keep driving. While the officer was on his phone, we waited for him to turn his back towards us as we quickly and quietly slipped into the building. The power was still on with some annoying alarm that was blaring the entire time. We didn’t stay long, maybe 30 minutes total. We made one quick round through the building to grab a few photos and video and we got out of there asap. We hope you enjoyed the video!

Abandoned Hospital Full of Medical Supplies - Everything Left Behind

I recently found this footage from over 4 years ago that I thought was lost from us exploring this abandoned hospital. This was one of the very first videos we ever shot for this channel, so its a special one. Looking back at it now, I can honestly say this is by far one of the best hospitals I’ve ever explored. I've never seen another hospital with this many medical supplies left behind. It's pretty sad to see because so many hospitals could’ve used these supplies.

Abandoned Haunted House with Everything Left Inside

In this video a couple friends and I checked out this abandoned haunted house. This place has been closed for a few years now but they never removed any of the props. The building looked fairly small from the outside, but it was a complete maze walking through this place. With it being pitch black for the most part, it was a little creepy when you would turn a corner and see a 6ft Michael Myers mannequin. All in all it was a fun explore and one I won't forget. Exploring the Abandoned Palace Stadium During Demolition

Here's a short video I shot a few months ago of the Palace Stadium during demolition. The Palace was where the Detroit Pistons used to play. It only sat abandoned for little over a year before they started the demo process. The security was really tight, and they were still using the building, so it was hard to enter the property before the demo started. The first time I went was during the weekday so my only option was to dress like a construction worker and sneak inside. I got a few photos but I wanted to go back. By the time I made it back to Detroit the Palace was just about completely demoed.

Abandoned Theme Park - Ghost Town in the Sky

It was a rainy morning back in 2018. We arrived at the theme park just before sunrise, after driving several hours through the night from Atlanta. When we arrived, the fog was rolling in fast and it looked like it was going to storm bad. There were trail cams on our walk up and we weren't sure about security, so we planned to move fast through the abandoned theme park. Within an hour of being there, Becca wouldn't stop saying how much "this was her favorite location ever." It rained for a little while then eventually passed and the weather got beautiful. We spent a good 8 hours that day in the mountains exploring the abandoned Ghost Town. Just as we started to talk about our perfect day when we were leaving, Becca got pulled over for speeding. The state police questioned what we were doing, and why we were in the middle of nowhere without any luggage. After they searched our car, they let us go without any tickets. ABANDONED HOSPITAL - LARGE AUTOPSY ROOM

Last summer I went to check out this abandoned hospital with my friend Chris. We got inside pretty early around 6:30am because there's always a bunch of homeless people around this building. You could tell that a few of them have been living inside at one point. We didn't spend much time there because the workers still use the tunnels that connect the abandoned and active buildings. We made a quick pass through most of the hospital then took some photos of the morgue. I wish i would of took a few more photos inside the hospital but we were moving fast and i was more focused on getting some video at the time. Abandoned Hospital that Recently Closed

Here's a short video I shot last summer of an abandoned hospital that recently closed. There was security inside the building which is why there's no talking during this video. We needed to be quick and quite as possible so I was only able to film so much. The morgue was mainly what i wanted to shoot and it was well worth the anxiety of getting in and out successfully.

ABANDONED FUNERAL HOME

January 18, 2020

The first time i got in this funeral home it was around 3am and i was by myself. Once i was inside i got a little nervous. The last thing i wanted to find was a body in there while i was alone. I opened the door to the embalming room and saw the 3 tables set up. I was hoping it had at least 1 table, let alone 3! Then i flicked the light switch and the lights came on! One of the tables were being held up by a trash can. The porcelain slabs had these head blocks carved out of wood on them. The pieces of wood still had skin and dried blood on it. After taking a couple quick shots in the embalming room i found the casket display room. I took a few photos in there then i got the hell out of the building until the sun came up. I then went back inside to photograph the other rooms with natural light and made this short video. A few months later i was there with a friend when we found a cabinet full of cremated remains. Its been over a year since then and the local police recently removed all the remains out of the building and it's currently being gutted now

Exploring Abandoned Jail - Now used for Police Training

It’s Sunrise. We thought we’d avoid security, but just as we walk up to the faculty a sheriff drives by. We run to the opening. Our eyes widen in shock. Dozens of cop cars flood the parking lot. SUVs that are black and whites are everywhere. We have no idea if any are in use. We now have to enter the most intense maze of sheriff cars you could ever see. We run to the jail as we hear security opening the gate. We find the door. And just when we thought we could breath, we see the bomb bags. Duffle bags line the middle of the hallway. We all look to each other in alert. Are they training sniff dogs today? We continue to another floor just in case. We turn a corner and it’s the best part. A glow is coming through a window cascading down the hall. We walk into our first cell rooms. Like a peeling tree the rust crates these colors. Blue, green, brown, yellow, orange. Our eyes look around at the beautiful decay. Old pay phones line the walls whispering the secrets of these cells. This is what we came for. We leave and explore the rest of the building. We find the cafeteria and run around the tables. Then we see something rare. The visiting rooms. Rows of phones booths with the classic glass in between. Like the movies we pretend to use the phones and explore behind the scenes. Next we go to the top and it seems like we entered another place. It’s the infirmary all of the sudden. One side is lined with padded cells. Squishy inside from top to bottom. The other side is a radiation room and hospital rooms. This floor comes with a story. A sad tale of a patient who ended her life here. We look for the door with the etching. As the door opens you can’t imaging the glory we see. A rotting hospital bed and peeling walls all around. We could barely step into the room from the piles of bird droppings completely covering the floor. There’s a name written on the wall and something like blood smeared around. A glow from the window draws me in. I’ve never seen a room with this much decay. We decide it’s time to go, but not without one last heart attack. The exit back through all the cop cars. As we enter the parking lot we feel more confindent walking through this time. We take a few pictures of all the units before making our way off the property.

Exploring an Abandoned Hospital Solo

In todays video i explored an abandoned hospital by myself. I drove a few hours in the pouring rain since i wasn't far away at the time, with nothing planned for the day. I only seen a few cell phone shots before i went so the hospital was actually better than I expected. Even though there was no morgue, it had a good 5 or 6 surgical suites with lights and a few other cool rooms to shoot. Im glad i was able to check out this hospital since its set for demolition this year. While i was in the basement looking for a morgue someone unlocked the front door and came inside the hospital so i had to leave quickly. Exploring an Abandoned Prison in Pennsylvania

Last winter I explored this large minimum security prison with my friend Chris (@Cstone710). We didn’t realize there would be snow on the ground so we were very unprepared with wearing sneakers. We only got to check out about 6-7 buildings on the property before the sun started setting. It looked like theres a good 15-20 buildings there. I couldn't find much history about this prison closing besides that it was due to funding being cut. Hope you enjoy the video and photos!

A Celebration of a Beautiful Life

Becca’s Celebration of Life, June 17th 2018

One would marvel at such a beautiful day in Shady Side, Maryland. With the sun shining brightly, the ospreys calling in the trees, and the green grass warm to the touch, anyone would feel at home. As a place of tranquility and solitude, this was Becca’s home.

The day began with a quiet peace over the house. Tina still lives here, and Becca lived here for most of her life. Some folks were up. Tina was about, preparing tables and chairs, checking on the roasted pig. Checking the details as usual. Family friends were tending to every preparation: Natalie was cleaning the kitchen, Kara was setting up the deck, and Fran was mounting pictures throughout the house. Eddy moved about intently, helping in any way he could. Having pressure washed the house and performed numerous tasks the day before, he settled into a solemn period of reflection.

The morning continued to show signs of hustle. Friends of Becca started to show: Carly and Autumn, Chris, Aaron, Corey, Christian… Christina, Sergio, more and more. They were all excited to make this special day was wonderful as possible. A golf cart, the same blue as Becca’s Honda, was brought in by Sergio. Becca loved to ride the golf carts around the neighborhood as a kid, so it was only fitting to have one here in Snug Harbor again. Utensils and food was moved to the deck tables. Chairs were set up and arranged. The pictures continued to populate the walls, transforming Tina’s house into an art gallery that would compete with the finest artistic displays.

Looking around the house, as the pictures came up, one couldn’t help but feel joy and sadness at the same time. The rooms were magical. Prints brought in by friends, framed pieces Fran diligently crafted, small pictures strewn on shelves and tables. The question became, “what if we did this three weeks ago? What if we had an art gallery, all this work. An expose on Europe, a chance to reveal to everyone the beauty that Becca captured in Iceland, Milan, Portugal. June second, all invited!” Joy in seeing this raw talent. Sadness in realizing no more new shots. If only we could go back in time.

Noon came and went, and these rooms filled to the door frames. Nicole painted a beautiful tree of life, and everyone put their thumbprint in the branches, colorful ink making leaves pop up from the canvas. Bracelets, stickers, buttons, memorabilia passed out to everyone. People started talking. Conversations turned to days before: “remember that one explore,” “she was amazing, look at this piece,” “We were going to hit this location…” Every picture was a reminder of what we lost in Becca’s passing.

Pictures throughout the house showed Becca’s true colors. She was in some frames, not in others. Where she could be seen, she had a camera, a jacket, those cheap boots. Playing on the wreckage, her playful persona shines. Taking a shot on a sunset beach, her talent in action. Watching an Icelandic waterfall, she stood in awe. What was she thinking? Was she impressed? Was she solemn? Was she grateful to be there? Or maybe she wanted to just jump in the water. That was Becca. But we won’t know, she isn’t physically here to point, explain, laugh, and cry over these works. She is elsewhere, watching us enjoy her gallery.

The roasted pig was ready! Burgers and hot dogs, potato and macaroni salads, chips and drinks. Everyone feasted in the sunlit backyard. Chris setup music and kept the joy alive. People talked, hugged each other. Some hadn’t seen each other in years, and as usual, Becca brought them back together. Even rough patches were set aside and hatchets buried; this is Becca’s day, a celebration! Life is short, there’s no time to be mad. “Make the most of where we are, don’t judge, love each other,” is what Becca would demand. That’s what everyone did.

Eric compiled a video of Becca’s life, and played it on the TV. Tina, Fran and Ben were called into the living room to watch, and friends gathered around. As the video began, the crowd grew. Pictures of Becca with friends, at her work. Previous boyfriends watched and hugged each other. As pictures of Becca with family appeared, tears fell. Clips of her at bandos made us laugh and think deeply. Footage of Fran getting her back, punching her in the shoulder at the Volkswagen scrapyard, reminded us of her favorite game. At least someone finally punched her back, after years of her seeing the Volkswagen bugs before we did. She was more concerned with wasp stings than scrappers and homeless people! She dangled her feet over the edge of a skyscraper. She balanced on the top of a rickety roller coaster. She took risks. She loved danger. She lived.

The photographs on the walls continued to amaze everyone. Playing on top of airplane wreckage in Iceland, she looked playful, skipping around. The image reminded people, who knew Becca all her life, what she was like as a little girl. Skipping, playing, laughing. That smile! You couldn’t help but love her, even if she made you mad. She was beautiful.

A photograph above the television, Becca at the beach, camera in hand. The same image was used for the “Bword lives on” stickers. She took time and effort for each shot. She took thousands of shots. She never let the right angle get away, or the perfect ray of sunshine escape… she captured it all. Seeing images of her, alongside images she captured, gave perspective to the entire gallery. Not only was she capturing and creating art; she was the art. She was a masterpiece.

Anyone who knew Becca well loved to see pictures of her tattoos. Even seeing a few in the photos, one would remember the rest… speed circuit, her first tattoo. “1987” with wings on her chest. The zombie on her thigh, the black widow, the Mexican skulls, “Red Rum…” Of course her trademark tattoo, 11:11. When 11:11 came and went this day, everyone made the same wish… we wish Becca was back. We wish this never happened. We wish, wherever she is watching us, she knows we all love her so much. We miss her so much. Life just won’t be the same.

The art around the house was spectacular, and words can’t truly capture the feelings of the day. To be expected, the camera was the ultimate medium to capture the gathering, and photographers who traveled miles to be here, took hundreds of pictures. Each snap of a shutter was another tribute to our Becca.

Everyone had their fill of food. Drinks were passed around. Groups gathered and laughed, sharing stories of Becca. Some started to walk down to the water, that same place Becca would play. She loved to walk down to the water. We thought we’d join her one last time this evening.

At the dock, lanterns were passed around. So many people were there, you’d think the pier would topple over! Lanterns were lit, the wind blew gently, and as we released them, we were beginning the process of moving on… of finding peace. We have to let Becca go. We know we love her. We know she loves us. She’s looking down on us, smiling, surely. So, one by one, patiently filling the burning lanterns with heat, watching some sink and some fly away, we released the lanterns. We have to accept the truth. We have to continue living. We have to let go, and instead, pleasantly remember her for who she was: fun, charismatic, and charming. Rough, tough, and strong. Friendly, laughing, and loving. She was all this and more. She was our best friend. Our lover. Our daughter, our sister. Our bartender, photographer, model. Our smile on a dark day, a hug when we needed one. She was our blessing from above. She was… our Becca.

Exploring An Abandoned Hospital In Texas

During our trip to the south, Fran and I spend one of our nights checking out a newly abandoned hospital. Getting the new hospital open was a success and we are pleased to find a bunch of left behind hospital goodies. We came back the following night with our friends Jeff and Jafet, They were just as thrilled when they got inside too. It was the first time any of us had seen surgery lights as large as the ones here. The power was still on so there was a constant noise going off from some of the patient call panels. The Xray machine also had power which was pretty cool cause it had a really cool display panel that none of us had ever seen before. We stayed for as long as we could but the bugs inside started to irritate us and eat Jeff and Frans legs up so we headed out of there. All in all, it was a pretty awesome find and a great way to end our day of exploring! Thanks for reading!

Exploring an Abandoned MidWest Jail

During our most recent trip to the midwest, Fran & I start one of our mornings driving to the middle of flat lands no where to an abandoned correctional facility. This reformatory was once a female only population. During the time that it was open, it was the only maximum security prison for women. You could definitely see it in the layout of the campus while you walked around. It had an elegant look to the whole place which was nice. The whole campus took us about 8 hours to explore and I still don't feel like we saw it all. But what we did see was absolutely amazing. The photos dont do this spot justice. the colors looked amazing in every building and we got lucky with a great sky to showcase the elegance to the correctional facility's layout. It was such a fun day to explore and create content to share with you. Thank you for reading!

Exploring a Hospital for the FIRST TIME (power is still on)

After a pretty decent morning of exploring, Jeff, Fran, and I use the rest of the day exploring a couple hospitals we been wanting to check out. The first one had potential but was a bust. Fran ran around the whole hospital but didn’t find any equipment. The second hospital was another story. After we found a open door, we slowly start tiptoeing around looking for stuff to shoot. We were all pretty sketched out because it was all our first times here. The power was still one and I got a little spooked after finding a room with a couple computers hooked up that were monitoring various parts of the hospital. After a couple empty hallways, we start to find really cool medical lights that were some we haven't yet seen before. For the rest of our time here, our abandoned hospital finds were increasing with each hallway we walked down. Wheelchairs, medical beds, medical lights, X-ray machines, etc. Even the basement was wall to wall full of equipment. We joked and thought some of the equipment from the first hospital was stored here. We got our shots, made a dope video and left only footprints! Thank you for watching & reading!
